Mashed Potatoes Homemade, creamy and buttery
Making mashed potatoes is really easy!
Pick out a good hearty potato, we like brown russets.
Wash potatoes, then start peeling off the skin.
Cut lengthwise then cut into 1 to 2 inch chunks
Boil in water 15 to 20 min. A fork will glide right into the potato chunk when done.
Drain out water into sink with a strainer.
Dump potatoes into a bowl and smash with a masher or a fork if you don’t have a masher.
Add in milk, butter sour cream salt and pepper. Stir in till the consistency is to your liking. I like to use my hand mixer to whip potatoes until creamy.
