The Best Amazing Sausage Gravy from scratch
Sausage gravy is a weekend staple at this house.
Start with 1 roll sausage, 2 tablespoons bacon grease, milk and 1/4 cup flour.
To begin with, start by cooking the sausage, drain and set it aside. Then, add the bacon grease to the pan. If you don’t have this, simply use the sausage grease and let it melt. Next, add in the flour and whisk for a minute. After that, add in the milk until you reach the desired thickness or thinness, usually around 2 cups. Then, add pepper. If you prefer the meat, it’s country gravy at this point. Finally, add in the sausage and serve over biscuits or toast.
